Doble V

A bit difficult to spot since this place is on a quiet plaza off the main road but what a find! You can tell that the owners are passionate about the quality of their products. The meat is unbelievable and cooked to perfection which is something that only few restaurants can master. Loved the lounge area, a perfect setting for a nice evening with friends generous cocktails and a variety of excellent Spanish wine. A perfect place for a relaxing evening. Will definitely go back!

What an amazing hidden gem in Empuriabrava. We found this quaint restaurant and lounge by happenstance off the main drag of Empuriabrava. Great atmosphere and music. The new owners greeted us and were warm and welcoming. The sangria which is their specialty was delicious and copious. We ordered the brochettes menu with four different meats, and I had the Entrecôte steak which was cooked to perfection. Ended the evening with coffee and dessert which topped the evening. Will definitely be back soon. The first place in Empuriabrava which we have fallen in love with. Make sure you order the homemade fries! They are the best in Spain!

Even though Doble V is right in the hub of Empuriabrava, it’s tucked away in a plaza; had friends not invited us to join them for an evening with the Gypsy Kings playing we would never even have stumbled upon it. That said, it’s relatively easy to find parking close by. We've been a few times now, and each time we’ve started off the evening with aperitifs in the “bar area” sitting around a barrel and then gone to our table to enjoy our meals and the music. They offer a variety of dishes from salads to meats but their concept is really skewers, where you have the option of four or six skewers from their menu of skewers, served with a salad and with fries, both on the side. Each time I’ve been I’ve tried something different and can recommend the skewers, their take on escalivalda and the duck. Their prices are reasonable, the location is great and Fanny and Dominique are both warm and welcoming hosts. They add €4 per person to the bill when dining on a music night, but that’s more than fair enough for an evening with live entertainment.

Très bonne expérience au Doble V à Empuriabrava ! Accueil chaleureux et service attentionné du début à la fin. Les viandes sont excellentes, bien grillées et pleines de saveur, avec des accompagnements simples mais délicieux. Les cocktails, notamment le mojito, sont généreux et bien équilibrés. L’ambiance est détendue et conviviale, parfaite pour passer un bon moment entre amis ou en couple. Une belle adresse pour les amateurs de bonne viande et de bonne humeur !

Excellent moment en famille passé au Doble V, initialement pour un verre de fin d'après-midi. L'ambiance et la qualité nous ont fait rester pour dîner. Le restaurant, bien qu'en plein centre ville, est en retrait sur une petite place : vous pourrez y jouer à la pétanque, ou les enfants y jouer en sécurité pendant le repas. Le personnel était très accueillant et la nourriture de très bonne facture, lix en cuisine espagnoleet française : des plats simples mais parfaitement maîtrisés par le chef Lorenzo (je recommande les ris de veau) Bref, une excellente soirée avec nos filles de 12 et 15 ans, avec des prix contenus. A noter que le jeudi, vous pourrez profiter d'une concert Gipsy en prime (4 € par personne en plus, réserver largement à l'avance) Merci au staff !

Très bonne soirée passée entre amis. Une belle découverte de la situation du restaurant qui se trouve à l'écart de la foule de touristes sur une jolie petite place, une carte efficace, avec uniquement des plats maison. Service sympatique, prix raisonnables. Bravo à la chef qui a parfaitement cuit nos viandes et les frites excellentes. Cerise sur le gâteau : tout le monde parle français :-) À l'année prochaine !
